Looking forward to collecting more amazing experiences with the children at Sparsha Trust (Street Children Teaching): Marthe Kiesler & Charlotte Mertz, Germany

We are Marthe Kiesler and Charlotte Mertz, 2 volunteers from Germany, working in a shelter for underprivileged children in Hesaraghatta, a village on the outskirts of Bangalore City. The shelter, called “Nisarga Grama” is one of 6 shelters that belong to the organization “Sparsha Trust”, founded in 2005 by R Gopinath.

On 11th December 2018, FSL-India’s Mysore coordinator organised a Cultural Event (CE) for our regular LTV volunteers. Every month, we take them to any cultural and historical places which are located in and around Mysore. This month, the Cultural Event was focused on the theme of Religion and we took our 5 volunteers to St Philomena’s Church.

On Saturday, 24th November 2018, FSL-India’s volunteers – Emil, Anna, Linda, Nanami, and our staff Manjunath and Venkatesh attended an anti-plastic event at Kundapur. The programme was conducted by the Flora & Fauna Club-Kundapur, Dr NR Acharya Memorial Trust Koteshwara, and Kudremukha Wild Life Division, Karkal.

16 enthusiastic volunteers arrived in India from Hong Kong to participate in FSL-India’s Work Camp on Women Empowerment and Culture. They spent 4 days in Bangalore and learned about Women Empowerment in India. They also participated in teaching and painting activities.
