Nursing Internship: 18th November-9th December 2018

Nursing Internship: 18th November-9th December 2018

In November 2018, FSL-India received 8 nursing students from Sweden. They spent time in India for 3 weeks, for a Nursing Internship programme at Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Science, which was facilitated by FSL-India.

During this week, they got the opportunity to engage themselves with Nitte Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital.

They learnt a lot about the different medical departments at the hospital, and also they spent the evenings and weekends at some cultural places in and around Mangalore, for a better understanding of Indian culture.

From the ‘horse’s mouth’:

Maira Ulla Johanna Aberg: My time here in India has been the most educational trip that I think I’ve ever been on. I’ve learned so incredibly much during these 3 weeks. Not only about my choice of education (nursing) but also about India. Your culture, food and unbelievably nice and curious people. We have been so well taken care of and I’ve really enjoyed my time here and FSL-India certainly helped me with that. Thanks for a memory for life!

Amina Krdzovic: A photo can be deleted and forgotten, but memories can be repeated and remembered.

Dime Majdi Rashid: This has been an experience I will never forget. This journey has been the most fun and educational ever. I’m so thankful and happy that I got the opportunity to do this. I have learned so much because of this journey, not just things in the hospital, but even about the culture and people.

Elvira Beatrice Edengrand: This has been a life changing experience. I’ve learnt to appreciate life more. This journey also has given me knowledge for a lifetime. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity and I will never forget.

Tova Sofie Billberg: I’m so grateful for the opportunity to make this trip. I have got a new perspective on life and after this trip, I am changed as a person for life.

Deniz Nese Erden: I could never imagine a better experience than this. The things I’ve seen and learned could never be replaced.

Corro Espinsa Karen Kaye: A life changing experience.

Emelie Felicia Wikstrom: My trip to Mangalore together with our team leader from FSL-India has been just great. I will remember these 3 weeks for the rest of my life. The experience of this trip has given me knowledge that I never thought I would get and I will, without doubt, go back to India.
