I am Eva from France and I chose to do a volunteering project in India for 2 months. Unfortunately, I spent only 5 weeks here, in Shettrakatte, after some Embassy troubles! Anyways, when I arrived here, I didn’t know anything.
In the month of June 2017, FSL-India LTV Bangalore Region organized a Cultural Event (CE) at Bangalore and Kanchipuram zone, under different themes.
On Tuesday, 20th June, at FSL- CEL, Kundapur the entire staff and volunteers, i.e 12 members participated in the Nursery Management training, conducted by Mr. Doreswamy, Joint Director of FSL-India.
Hi there! My name is Tim. I am living in an Indian host family in Mysore, India for more than eight months now. As a volunteer, I work for the NGO called CREDIT-I (Centre for Rural Education Development and Innovative Technologies – India).
The EIL, Spain camp was held at the Centre for Experiential Living, Kundapur from 3rd – 13th June 2017. This time, 10 volunteers and 2 teachers from Spain participated in Sustainable Agriculture and Education programs.
The theme of the work camp was Construction/Environment/Tibetan Culture/Kids. There were totally 9 volunteers from the Czech Republic, 3 French, 1 German, 1 Italian and 1 Mexican.
For the last few days, many people have been engaging in medicinal garden work. At the beginning of June, Spanish students and German volunteers came and helped the FSL team to clean the area, do the weeding and level the ground.
Everybody loves a little adventure in their lives. Some people take a weekend trip a few hours away, others take a week long holiday to a nice tropical destination. Jenny and Lisa, 2 volunteers from Germany, took a chance to participate in a work camp program in India, for 2 weeks – from the classroom to the Arabian Sea, Kundapura.
What is a Health Check-up Camp? In a Health Check-up Camp the community members have their basic health checked, i.e., BP, weight and height and they are asked about their regular health challenges.
