McLeod Ganj is a busy town where diverse people and stories cross their paths. In its streets you can meet  Buddhist monks, Indian tourists coming there to visit the Bhagsu temple and waterfall, Europeans coming to attend yoga or meditation classes, or representatives of the Tibetan nation, as McLeod Ganj is both a seat of the Tibetan parliament-in-exile and permanent residence of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama. We came here to attend a work camp focused on Tibetan and…

On 8th of Aug 2019, FSL-India celebrated ‘Global Common Action Day for Climate Justice’. 8th August 2019 also corresponds to the approximate Earth Overshoot Day, E which marks the date when humanity’s demand for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that year. On 5th July, FSL-India’s Kundapura staff received a call from Beejadi Beach: another injured turtle was found by the local fishermen on the beach. FSL-India’s role in Sea Turtle conservation – S Janardhana Maravanthe, ex-President, Maravanthe Panchayat

FSL-India has been working for the conservation of Olive Riddley and Green sea turtles, which are considered to be an endangered species. After the intervention of FSL-India, the fisherman community got an awareness of the need for the conservation of the sea turtles. They joined hands…
