FSL India is organized the First Quarterly Evaluation for 2015 – 2016 batch Weltwärts and IJFD pax. which was held between 2nd and 4th December 2015 in Organization for the Development of People (ODP). There were 24 volunteers and 4 FSL staff participated.

FSL India has hosted 5 long Term Volunteers for this month’s cultural event. Volunteers invited from an Indian family for lunch and ‘Yekshagana’ play. In the beginning facilitator let introduction of participants and explained about next activities. Volunteers look so excited to visit Indian family and watch folk dance Yekshagana.

 FSL India has hosted 5 long Term Volunteers from 5 different countries (Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, South Korea & Germany). Volunteers have gone through different sessions to be well prepared for their successful journey in India.

LTV team-Kundapura organized Quarter Evaluation for long term volunteers. The program was held for 3 days from 30th November to 2nd December 2015. In total 33 volunteers from different programs like EG, AFS and IJGD took part in this evaluation. The QTE was organized in FSL India training centre. Play for Peace- Kundpur

This time LTV, FSL India- Kundapura organized a Play For Peace (PFP) session in Government Higher Primary School, Mavinakatte. The objective of this session was to promote positive relationships among children from cultures in conflict. The session was planned for 1.30 hours. Children really enjoyed participating. We used energizers, ice breakers and communication methods in this activity. Mavinakatte is a small village in Kundapur. The population is around 1800 inhabitants. Mainly Hindu and Muslim people are living in this village….

Winter camp-Mysore

Activities: During the camp volunteers have done door to door censes collecting information about the family in the community. The volunteers also had fun with cooking with Muslim community, it was a really love the cooking session and the community people had very good experienced with our volunteers. They also conducted eye camp in the slum area, in that volunteer helped in registration and assisting the nurse, they done some gardening work in project.

Date: 16th to 18th November 2015 No of Volunteers: 19 Volunteers (Chennai – 10 & Pondicherry 9 ) No of Staff: 4 Overall objective of QTE: To ensure volunteers understanding about their project, host family system and the intercultural acceptance through evaluation and to help participants settle on their future actions.
