Cultural Meet – Chennai/Pondicherry/Mysore: 17th November 2015

In the month of November 2015, FSL organized three different of Cultural visit in three places, one meet was in Chennai and another one was in Pondicherry and Mysore.

In Chennai Zone our FSL Coordinator took three volunteers to many place such as Connemara Public Library – Volunteer-India-Cultural meetConnemara Public Library at Chennai is one of the four National Depository Libraries which receive a copy of all books, newspapers and periodicals published in India. Marina Beach – Marina beach is a natural urban beach in the city of Chennai, India, along the Bay of Bengal, part of the Indian Ocean.

In Pondicherry there were only one volunteer who was eligible to attend the cultural meet. Our Coordinator took volunteer to many places such as Gandhi Statue, Ganesha temple, Arabinto Ashram, Arabinto handmade paper factory and so on..,

In Mysore there were three volunteers who was attended the cultural meet. Our Coordinator took volunteer to Chamundi Hills: Is located 13km east of Mysore , the Palace city in Karnataka, Named after goddess Chamundamma, The main hill itself features an ancient stone stairway of 1008 steps leading to its summit. Mysore Devraj Market: Mysore’s Devaraja Market. It is more than a 125 years old, and very crowded Market in Mysore.

 Feedback from Volunteers

-Temple I was impressed by the forever of the people and I wonder how it’s during festivals.

-The Hand paper factory was really interesting however they should make more developments and also visits of the factory except that they is a really good work.

-Thanks as well for showing me the railway station it’s much more simple here than France.

-It’s interesting to see the different between Europe’s churches and here very similar in ways.
