The LTV team of FSL-India conducted a winter camp in Good Samaritan Children’s Home in Byndoor, Kundapur  from  12^th to 27^th October 2015. Volunteers from regular teaching and orphan teaching participated in this camp. The activities were mainly related to renovation works and, in total, 10 volunteers took part in it.

The camp was organized to create interaction between orphanage children and the local community. FSL-India organized various recreational activities in the project campus as well as for the children such as drawing, painting, outdoor games, cleaning the orphanage surroundings, painting walls of children’s accommodation and kitchen, digging pits for plantation, gardening work, pathway and plumbing activities.

Apart from these activities, volunteers also had the chance to participate in an Indian marriage along with project staff,  and volunteers also prepared German food for the children.

Volunteers learned about renovation related activities and all enjoyed themselves while doing the work. Volunteers will be able to develop some of the activities with their host families and in their project places.

Project staff really appreciate the contribution of volunteers to the orphanage and they are thankful for the time and effort that went into the activities of these ten days.
