January 2015- Orientation -Kundapur

January 2015 orientation was held at FSL-India Training Centre, Shetrakatte – Kundapur between 5th to 10 December. 8 volunteers (Ireland, Switzerland, Holland, South Korea, and France) participated from five countries and orientation was facilitated by team of four LTV coordinators from Fsl-India.

Different Sessions conducted were Kannada language class, Introduction about FSL India, Safety, Practical sessions, Indian Pedagogy,   Travelling in India, Country presentation, Project introduction and reporting, Activities in project, Indian life style, Hindu philosophy, voluntarism and roles & responsibilities, Horses mouth, setting up aims, conflict management, and different indicators of culture and Peace.  Each evening we have organised different events for the exchange of ICL. First day was, all the volunteers had chance have Henna, then in next days we have organised Town tour visiting farm and a temple, country presentation in a school. Expectations of the volunteers were to learn and teach Friend to see the real India itself and to help children to learn English and to grow as an individual. During orientation week, they could know for the first time something about the Indian culture that they didn’t know before coming to India. For volunteers it was really a good moment to introduce them with this training week to Indian culture
