The primary focus of the get-together was to know the progress on the inter-cultural learning and project activi   ties assigned to each volunteer. During these two days program we celebrated Pongal. Pongal is a harvesting festival for three days. We celebrated 2nd day of the Pongal where we worship cows. Cows will be dressed up with colour paints, garlanding and keeping bindi and so on.., also we call it as Mattu Pongal in local language. With the help of SRISTY foundation staff all our volunteers wore Saree (Tamil Nadu’s traditional dress) and celebrated with community people. We were totally 12 people and divided into three groups and each group assigned with local person to translate from local language to English

2nd day of the Get together we had project evaluation with the volunteer. The objective of this activity is to know the progress and challenge that they are facing. The project name is Briefcase, Washing machine & Dustbin. Each volunteer should share about their good experience, one challenge and one negative experience. Through the project evaluation activity and one to one talk with Coordinators we came to know that progress made in the project.
