On the 21^st, 22^nd and 23^rd of January, our Home Based Project’s Tent School team initiated an awareness raising activity in Kundapura in regards to children’s rights and child trafficking.

        Our Tent School Project activities aim at imparting formal education to the children of migrant families. Often times, due to being a part of a marginalized community, these children face discrimination and hardship throughout their lives. 

 

        By analyzing these issues, our Tent School Project’s team, along with volunteers, visited some prominent locations near the tent schools (such as Panchayats, bus stands, hotels etc.) and spread awareness to the public about these issues. The team also put up Child Rescue Helpline caution boards at these locations to be used for contacting the District Children Protection Unit and the Child Line District Nodal Agency.
