We – Maxim, Fabio and I – were taken by Praveen, his wife Veena and their six years old son Om. Praveen picked us up at our hostel where we stayed a night after our travel from Kundapur to Bangalore.

MTE – October, Kundapur

In the month of October 2016, FSL LTV Kundapur organized Midterm Evaluation (MTE) for our Long term volunteers at FSL India’s Youth Training Centre The event took place between 19th to 21st October, in which 5 volunteers from AFS Germany took part in the evaluation. The main objective of the MTE is to create a platform for the volunteers to evaluate the progress made in project based on the expected outcome.

 The culture event  organised on 15th April 2016 with 2 volunteers who came’s in India as volunteers. They work with us like Orphanage children teachers in Mangalore. One of the programs in FSL India called cultural events where we take our regular volunteer to any cultural and historical places which are located in or around Mangalore.

As a youth day celebration, we organized a meeting with the community in Mavinakatte school  where we gave information about our long term volunteering program and its use for the community and explained about the different themes where our Long term volunteers are working.

My name is Marta, I have been doing an internship in FSL-India Kundapur for 6 months and I will try to “put in paper” my experience all over this time. The project I work for is SAP-K, based in FSL training centre in Shetrakatte, rural area on the Southeast coast on India. SAP-K stands for Sustainable Agriculture Project- Kundapur and its main idea is to evolve a model of sustainable agriculture for a sustainable livelihood. Sea turtle workcamp at Kundapur-November

A work camp was held at Kundapura from 2nd to 13th  November on sea turtle conservation and agriculture . A volunteer from Taiwan and other HBP volunteers were involved in this camp.  On the first day after an Indian welcome, volunteers were given orientation about HBP projects and the work schedule for 2 weeks.
