FSL India, Chennai facility has conducted Global Hand Washing Day on 14th to 18^th of November 2016 for school students and community on its (Apollo Tyres) CSR project.

There were five primaries and two higher secondary schools covered namely Eraiur, Mathur, Sennakuppam, Vallam and oragadam.  There were four hundred students and one hundred people participated in the sessions.  The programme has started with an ice breaking to comfort the children and people. The resource person gave the orientation on global hand washing day and continuation of the speech the video has displayed on steps of hand washing.

The FSL staffs have demonstrated the steps to the children and the children and teachers also have done the steps with FSL staffs.  In every schools signature campaign and pledge has taken by the students.

The programme has revealed the dramatic change among the people and the students that provided effective guidelines for hand hygiene practices and understood the public health benefits of hand washing with soap and Known where to go to get more information or help to develop a programme.  The pledge has taken by the community people that the information will be passed to one to one. The program helps them to get more knowledge on hand washing with the soap.
