Anemia Control’ and ‘Hygiene Promotion’ programmes were conducted and organised at 5 villages in Sriperambudur block, Kanjeepuram district.

These programmes are funded by Apollo Foundation and being implemented by FSL-India during 2016-2017. FSL-India conducted several awareness programmes for anemic women to raise their hemoglobin level and defeat anemia. On January 3, a total of 75 women attended the awareness programme that was conducted. Through these awareness programmes, the behavior and attitude of the women have changed in a positive way. Now they are adding vegetables and food grains to supplement their diet on a regular basis. In these projects 371 women were benefited from May 2016 to January 2017.
