They were 42 students from Tenka Nidiyoor First grade College, Udupi and they came along with 6 lecturers.

The event started in the morning, 10am, and it finished in the evening, 5pm. We developed different sessions which made them understand more about the role and responsibilities of a social worker, definition of NGO and the work FSL India does.

We started with a session conveyed by Mr. C. Doreswamy about the concept of what an NGO is, difference with GOs and explanation of CSR projects (Corporate Social Responsibility). Then, Mr. Gajendra, LTV coordinator explained about Long-Term Voluntary programs and the Host Family procedure. Afterwards, Mr. Jeevan and Ms. Marta explained about FSL India in general and HBP (Home Based Projects, which are funded and run by FSL India), their goals and achievements up to now.

After lunch, we had interaction between the students and around 20 volunteers who were staying last week in Training Centre during their Orientation Week. They discussed about cultural differences, education systems and daily life routines. After this interaction we took the students for a walk all over the centre for them to know all the activities we develop within its premises.

We are always happy to host groups of students willing to know about our work towards community development and willing to learn more about socially related matters.
