From the 10th-20th October, we worked with 20 German volunteers on Varanashi Organic Farms. Our work was to fertilise different trees: cacao, nutmeg, arecanut and coconut trees. We fed the plants with 45 tons of manure and covered 15 acres with it. We worked in teams of 5-10. So, we split the work in different steps. That was very good and effective. We were a group of 9 volunteers from Italy, Hong Kong, Spain and France participating in FSL-India’s work camp at Jaipur for 2 action-packed weeks. It has been 1 year since I moved to Germany for the Weltwärts South-North programme. The whole experience has been eye-opening and also inspirational.
