Rescued Turtle Eggs Hatch – 2nd May 2019, Times of India, Mangaluru

On 20th March 2019, 101 Sea Turtle eggs were discovered by alert fishermen at Maravanthe beach. Working with the Forest Department, FSL-India’s team built a hatchery for the eggs and waited eagerly for the eggs to hatch. 100 Turtle Eggs found at Maravanthe – Times of India, Mangalore dated 21.03.2019

Alerted by the local fishermen, FSL-India’s Sea Turtle Conservation team rescued 100 sea turtle eggs found at Maravanthe beach. Along with the Forest Department, a hatchery has been built and we are eagerly waiting for the turtles to hatch. Rakesh Soans, FSL-India’s President spoke to Times of India, Mangalore about our FSL-India’s efforts to protect this beautiful marine creature.
