Quarterly Evaluation Program for AFS BMZ and IJFD NH14 batch

Quarterly evaluation was conducted for AFS BMZ and IJFD NH14 batch at FSL-India youth training centre, Kundapur which was held between 19th-21st November. In total 37 volunteers participated in this event facilitated by 10 Fsl-India long term volunteer coordinators. Overall objective of QTE is to ensure volunteers understanding about their project, host family system and the intercultural acceptance through evaluation and to help participants settle on their future actions.

The Quarterly Evaluation for NH 14 cycle pax started with welcome session. Deputy director Mr. Ragland welcomed all the participants to the MTE and requested to make good use of this event to evaluate them and to plan activities for next quarter. The schedule of the QTE was introduced to the participants along with objectives of different On the first day, once participants shared expectation and fears, host family skit presentation session was conducted to know/measure the depth of Intercultural learning and to know the contribution of ICL by HF to the volunteers and vice-versa (contribution of volunteers to HF). On day 2, all participants actively took part in energizer “Acid River”. Volunteers were given tasks to lift tumbler on plate, pick water bottle with help of a thread.  Session was conducted to reflect on activities, challenges, results and expected outcome. Motivation session was conducted for participants to reflect on their aims and adjust them according to their present feelings, experiences and the knowledge they gained. Furthermore volunteers were asked to set up motivation for the next part of the program. Volunteers were asked to think what they want to see, what they want to do in rest of the time (for personal and for the project). On the final day, session conducted on safety and health where case studies discussed and presented to the group. At the end volunteers thanked Fsl-India for these 3 lovely days and for the support. Fo BMZ/IJFD pax, it was nice to see all staff and the volunteers again, they got some new motivation during the quarterly evaluation.
