Sea turtle conservation camp in Kundapur, October

We had total 7 international volunteers participated in our camp.The volunteers are from Britan, Japan, Czech and Spain. The international volunteers built Turtle Information Centres in Maravente beach, Mural painting in Gangulli harbor and built hatchery at Gangulli.

On 12th November Wednesday, the construction  volunteers Ms. Kathrina, Ms. Julie, Mr. Simon, Mr. Peter and 1 PR Media volunteer and 1 Environment volunteer Ms. Laura and HBP staffs Mr. Jeevan & Ms. Manjula had an exposure visit to Neermarga village which is located near Mangalore . There we met Mr. Denis Field staff of Canara Organization for development and Peace (CODP).

Beach walk in Uppunda – Raising awareness for sea turtles

On Thursday 16th, the sea turtle conservation team along with seven work camp volunteers conducted an exciting Beach Event in Uppunda tarapathi alevekodi village. The first activity on this afternoon was a sand sculpture competition. The children and even some adults enjoyed building sea turtles or hatchlings out of sand and the results were impressive. Afterwards the children with the best sculptures were awarded with prizes.
