Swaccha Mane Swaccha Grama”: Towards clean and plastic free village.
On 16th February 2016 FSL- Kundapura team started initiative about environment, health and hygiene called “Swaccha mane Swaccha grama”. This campaign aims mainly to bring awareness to the community towards waste management, plastic free environment and health and hygiene.

Sea turtle project Contact person meeting held on 5th January at training center. 8 contact person from different area participated and actively discussed about Sea turtle related issues. They are protecting wounded sea turtles in their places.

On 10th February Mrs. Raquel from AIPC Pandora partner from Spain visited to Kundapura Training center , HBP projects and Host families Kundapura staff and volunteers welcomed her in Indian style and introduced about FSL projects.

Namaskara! My name is Stina and I am here in India for 4 months of volunteering. My project is located in Bangalore at a care home and school for children living with HIV. As a volunteer I assist with what is needed, everything from administrative work, to teaching English or to just spend time with the children. A Host-Family Experience: My Birthday Celebration- David
Actually I wanted to spend the night of my birthday with other volunteers, who are living nearby. I planned to go to a nice restaurant and to have dinner there, chats and everything else you’re looking for on your birthday.

In the month of February 2016, FSL organized three different of Cultural visit in three places, cultural meet was in Chennai, Bangalore and Mysore.

FSL India has hosted 5 long Term Volunteers for this month’s cultural event. In the beginning facilitator let introduction of participants and explained about next activities. Volunteers look so excited to visit Hindu temple and to see cave.
Christmas Party at Yedthadi Tent School-December
On 25th of December we, the tent school volunteers Johanna and Hester, together with teacher Shalini organized a Christmas party in the Yedthadi tent school. With the help of the children, Geetha – teacher and Monica – volunteer of the other tent school in Baikadi, our small school was decorated nicely with stars, glitter and a Christmas tree, which the children crafted the day before by themselves.
Health & Hygiene session with school children in our training centre!- December
Last Tuesday, December 22nd 2015, around 50 children from Mavinakatte Primary School came to our training centre in Shetrakatte for a session on Health and Hygiene. The session took 3 hours in the morning and we developed many different activities in this short time regarding health and hygiene and environment.
