On 20th March 2019, 101 Sea Turtle eggs were discovered by alert fishermen at Maravanthe beach. Working with the Forest Department, FSL-India’s team built a hatchery for the eggs and waited eagerly for the eggs to hatch. The eggs normally take 50-55 days to hatch, but this time, the baby turtles emerged from the eggs 10 days early, surprising the the watching and waiting community.
