In the month of August 2016, FSL India Kundapur has hosted one Long Term Volunteer from France. Volunteer has gone through different sessions to be well prepared for her successful journey in India.

 

Regarding orientation, we developed the activities which we normally carry out during the orientation week, such as Indian welcome, Expectation and fear, Conflict in communication, safety, Understand cultural indicator, introduction about FSL India, project information, Indian pedagogy, volunteer’s role and responsibility & Hindu philosophy. Overall we feel our volunteer will keep up the volunteering spirit with her to bring in changes within herself and also in others life and will carry the same excitement throughout the stay.

We, all LTV staff, consider this orientation to be a success. Moreover, according to the volunteer’s feedback, it has actually been successful given that all feedback we have received is really positive. As the volunteer was the only one participant in the orientation, staff spent most of their time with her to make her feel comfortable. Everything worked well and we are really satisfied with our work and results.
