NH-16 Quarterly Evaluation
Our LTV Kundapur organized for a Quarterly Evaluation (QTE) for long term volunteers. The QTE was held for 3 days from 30th November to 1st & 2nd December 2016. In total there were around 29 volunteers from AFS, EG & IJGD who took part in this evaluation.
The QTE was organized in FSL India youth training center. The main objective of QTE is to ensure that the volunteers understand about their project, host family and the intercultural acceptance through evaluation and to help participants to prepare themselves for their future actions.
LTV Kundapur team organized different activities like host family skit presentation, session about challenges, motivation and open discussion. We also conducted some games for group bonding and some energizers.
During the free time volunteers had fire camp and discussed with each other, shared their feelings and motivated themselves. The second day in the evening volunteers had a one-to-one talk along with their coordinators. All these discussions made volunteers to strengthen their motivation for rest of their stay in India.
We, all LTV staff, consider this evaluation to be a success. Moreover, according to the volunteer’s feedback, it has actually been successful. However successful it has also been challenging at some point. Despite this, everything worked well and we are really satisfied with our work and results.
