The main objective of this activity is for the anemic women of the villages to inculcate the habit of cooking in a clean environment. Before this activity was initiated, the beneficiaries were not aware of the necessity of a clean kitchen. Most of the household articles were strewn on the floor and in addition, household pests and animals had free access to the food and vegetables which were not covered properly. After the awareness session, the women understood the benefits of a clean kitchen and following that, cupboards were built to keep the vessels and food out of the reach of household pests and animals.  Through this programme, women from the poorest of the poor families were identified by FSL-India to get these benefits. The entire families of these women enjoyed the new environment thanks to the efforts of Apollo Tyre Foundation and FSL-India.
