Climate Change Solution: Vijay Karnataka, 22nd March 2019

Sweden’s 16 year old Greta Thunberg was nominated for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for fighting global climate change. Inspired by her efforts, FSL-India, an international organisation, hosted an informative workshop at Mavinakatte High School.

Schools’ Boycott for Climate Change

Sweden’s Greta urged her class students to protest towards the clamp down on climate change solutions, her campaign is supported by 105 countries so far.

In response to a call given by Thunberg on March 15th, some schools in Bengaluru and New Delhi vacated and discussed climate change remedies. They highlighted the disadvantages that prevail on the environment from the use of plastic.

Norway’s Member of Parliament, 223 noble laureate elite and 78 organisations support Thunberg’s love for the environment.

Protest in 93 countries:

Sweden’s Greta Thunberg launched a movement against global warming.

On March 15th, she called for a protest outside the school to resolve climate change. The students of 93 countries have responded to the call.

To reduce global warming, we need to reduce the use of plastic, prohibit plastic implants, and promote planting more trees to support the environment.

Discussion at Mavinakatte School

A workshop on solutions to climate change was organised at the Mavinakatte Government Higher Primary School under the guidance of FSL-India, a social service organisation. Thunberg’s video of the concept was shown to all the participants.

FSL-India’s Senior Manager, Moodkeri Venkatesh took a session for the students. Information on the impact of using plastic and environmental protection was provided, as also guidance about environmental conservation. It was explained that Thunberg’s efforts have made her one of the role models of the world. 

The school Headmistress Gowri, Physical Education teacher, Sannaiah Naik, FSL-India’s Chief Coordinator, Dinesh and Field Officer Manjesh were present.
