The first chapter of the Book Drive was kick-started in February 2017. FSL-India’s Youth Development Program helped a Naxalite-affected school in Kapsi, Chattisgarh set up a library. Posters were put up in colleges and book stores in and around the city to encourage people to donate books. Goobe’s Book Republic in Bangalore was one of the biggest donors for the bookdrive. We successfully collected close to 300 books for the school in Kapsi. The book drive is a bi-monthly affair….

On 31st October, the scariest evening, Yes! Hallow evening, YDP celebrated Halloween day with 40 YDP participants. In partnership with Lahe Lahe, a recently created expression space to promote” creativity, dance, music and art ” based on value-exchange rather than money-exchange. With the overwhelming response to the lalbagh project, the steering committee of the YDP thought it necessary to discuss the possible amendments to our working constitution. The experience of 8 months brought to light certain loopholes in the existing constitution that needed immediate attention. On the 6th of July 2014, the Youth Development Programme (YDP) finally hosted its General Assembly (GA) of the Bangalore Chapter. Attending the GA were 15 participants and FSL-India staff members.
