Environment Education session at “The English Academy”, Kundapur

On April 5th the Eco-team, visited “The English Academy” (TEA) in Kundapur. After a brief introduction of the facility, Mr. Pradeep, the man in-charge, held a session on environmental issues. Around 35 children participated in the program, interacting with the volunteers during their English class.

Underpinning these initiatives is a strong focus on awareness raising, with volunteers reaching out to local, underdeveloped communities to highlight the socio-economic benefits of conserving their natural resources. Winter Camp at Sevalaya in Chennai

FSL-India organized Winter Camp at Sevalaya, Chennai for duration of two weeks from 9th to 19th October 2012. There were 18 German volunteers in the camp who participated in various activities such as construction of pathway from the entrance to main school building which is 140 meters. Teachers and Children Honour FSL-India Volunteer

  India honours the teachers on 5th September every year. The Teachers’ Day celebration in Kundapur this year wore a special event. Miss Larissa Haesler, an FSL-India volunteer from Germany was honoured on Teachers’ Day by Woman and Children Development Society and Keeleshwari Youth Club for her volunteering service and teaching in Keeleshwari Kindergarten School.

Kusaka’s Experience at Sneha Care Home

FSL-India has placed Miss Kusaka Miyako from Japan at Sneha Care Home. The Sneha Care Home primarily focuses on empowering and educating the HIV/AIDS infected children and the children who are orphans children with single parent. The project is running a home for the children. The children are within the age group of 4 to 12 years.
