Under Home Based Project (HBP) initiative, FSL-India started Tent Schools at Kundapur. Kundapur has been experiencing constant influx of migrants from north Karnataka. The migrant community lives in and around Kundapur Taluk. They come here on temporary basis in search of jobs and livelihoods opportunities. These families set up tents as their temporary homes. Formation of Local Crisis Group at Sriperumbudur Block and Kancheepuram District is gaining momentum. Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India has formed Chemical Accidents Prevention and Mitigation Committee (emergency planning, preparedness and response) at Kancheepuram district.
