On the 15th of February, FSL-India’s, Sea Turtle Conservation project volunteers Emil and Melina and their Coordinator, Manjunath B went to the Government Higher Primary School at Koravadi village to create awareness on Sea Turtle Conservation. It is a very small and peaceful school with 208 children amidst nature, nearby the beach. On 21ST January 2019, FSL-India’s volunteers Melina and Emil and the Sea Turtle Conservation Contact Person Venkatesh visited the Primary School at Maravanthe.  We had made a presentation on the hazards faced by the sea turtles in the month of December. Mostly, once a week we, from the Sea Turtle Conservation program (STC), drive to one of the fisherman community’s here in the area of Kundapur. Meeting the fishermen is one of the most interesting tasks in our voluntary work. There we have the opportunity to talk with the fishermen about different problems e.g.the waste problem or overfishing that affect the fishermen as well as the sea turtles.
