In the month of January 2017, FSL India LTV Bangalore region organized for a Cultural Event (CE) at Mysore and Bangalore zone under different Theme.

Mysore: Theme: Religion: In the Mysore zone there were three volunteers who participated in the CE. They began their journey from the meeting point and visited Chamundi Hill. The temple has a quadrangular structure. A key feature is the statue of Mahishasura bearing a sword in his right hand and a cobra in left hand. In the afternoon they had lunch together after which our Coordinator had 1 to 1 talk with volunteers about project and host family.

Bangalore: Theme: Religion:  In the Bangalore zone there was one volunteer who participated in the CE and they visited Iscon Temple and St Mary’s Basilica Church. Iscon temple: Sri Radha Krishna Temple has located at Rajajinagar, in North Bangalore. It is one of the largest ISKCON temples in the world. St Mary’s Basilica Church: St Mary’s Basilica is a basilica located in the place Shivajinagar Bangalore. It is among the oldest churches in Bangalore and here they celebrate Mary feast big festival. In the afternoon they had lunch together after which our Coordinator had 1 to 1 talk with volunteers about project and host family.

Feedback from Volunteers

• This was last month in the Mysore. Time went incredible food together with Shruthi, Alina and Michelle. I went to the Chamundi hill it’s really nice because all the steps are colourful in red and yellow after we went to the hotel and had delicious food.
• This cultural event we visit Chamundi hill. It was really nice interesting to see people how applying colours to the steps more about the Indian culture and had food.
• Today I visit Chamundi hill, I already visited but this time we all went by steps that’s very interesting to see the colours in steps it was a very interesting and fascinating to learn even more about Indian culture we had lunch together in Mysore.
• Very nice to see Iscon temple, Church look like Sweden church, Food also good, Thank you for the day.
