Appropriate Technology is the Technology developed with the available resource and to be used day to day life such as preparing roof or door mat with used tetra packs, hand sanitizer with lemon and eucalyptus leaves etc. These technologies were developed and promoted by the Korean volunteers in few villages located in and around of Hysco company located in Thiruvallur District through the CSR initiative of HYSCO company and FSL India. HYSCO company and FSL India moves further to emphasize the sustainable use of technologies among the community, so that the benefit of the community will be visualized.

In continuation of this, the awareness about the Appropriate Technologies, FSL India and HYSCO initiative regarding the promotion of ATs, benefit of ATs, role of community and students etc were undertaken among 63 community women in Sengadu on 3rd june 2015. They were very eager to ask more questions about the relevance of technology in their day-to- day life.

Further series of awareness program were conducted among the community of middle and high school students in Sengadu on 11th June and 58 students participated; in Valasai vetti kadu on 12th June 2015 among 43 students; in Polivakkam on 24th June 2015 among 49 students. The students enthusiastically relating the technologies to their theoretical studies and its practical use as well.
