Krishi Vijnana Kendra Brahmavar is the Government Agricultural Department in the district which is research and training center about integrated agriculture.  SAP-K team members visited on 7^th October to have an exposure visit on agriculture practices and to have different discussions with the staff of KVK in order to work together for different events.

During the visit we discussed with  Dr. Hanumanthappa, agricultural extension officer and with Dr. Dhananjay, program coordinator, who also took us for a walk around the place and  explained the aims of each activity which KVK implementing .

We witnessed agricultural practices such as vegetable and fruit cultivation, animal husbandry, fishery activities, Azolla cultivation, bio-gas production, nursery management activities and weeding and maintenance.

Volunteers also invited to join different activities, they weekly develop in the center and FSL agreed to plan different events together in order to mobilize local farmers and community members and teach them about organic farming techniques which they can easily implement in their own land.

We consider this visit to have been highly successful and fruitful for our present and future work and we are grateful to KVK staff members for kindly hosting, showing and teaching us as they did today.
