22nd HMC at Ananthapuram – The South Korean volunteers from D-Team

Namaste..! We are from HMC D-Team members. Before our camp got started, we made a budget list. Through allocating each of the expenses, we helped to implement our activity much more easily.

Before we started our work, we performed exercises to prevent accidents and through a hygienic campaign, we put our efforts to keep our members’ health.

We remodeled  Kuruvandanapalli village local government school at Ananthapuram and toilet by painting and drawing and plantation of trees.

At ITI college, Ananthapuram, we constructed a hand wash basin and made a water path for the plants. Through 2 weeks of voluntary work, we felt we are not just helping local people, but we worked together with the local people.

We made our own class schedule, script, and English script for FSL-India and  the Indian members. Though we are not majors in education, we really enjoyed our work. Not only for education programming, but also we performed remodeling of the local village, a suggestion session and performance in front of the local people. We felt very happy though our journey for preparing these activities. We performed our education program well.

Through understanding of multiculturalism period, we shared Korean culture and Indian culture. We made each country’s national flag. For preventing environmental pollution period, we suggested worldwide environmental pollution, Indian pollution and notified students how to prevent it. We made eco-bags and notified students that by using it, we can minimise the usage of vinyl.

For the last period, we performed a Korean traditional, military art dance, Taekwon-moo, which all the students enjoyed with our Korean and Indian members. During our journey, we felt that 10 people’s work progress is much bigger than one person’s work progress. It was the most valuable experience in our lifetime.

There were several good points in the suggestion session. By interviewing the villagers, we felt that suggesting a solution for the villagers is a much more important thing than we expected. Overall, we felt great and experiencing this kind of activity, it helped us a lot.
