What does volunteering mean to you?
“Founded on the values of solidarity and mutual trust, volunteerism transcends all cultural, linguistic and geographic boundaries. By giving their time and skills without expectation of material reward, volunteers themselves are uplifted by a singular sense of purpose.”
– UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon,
A movement that was born 93 years ago, International Voluntary Service (IVS) is built on the foundations of solidarity. From post-World War II reconstruction efforts to tackling disarmament and human rights issues, its rich history has been made possible thanks to people who wish to give back.
This December 5th marks the International Volunteer Day (IVD), as designated by the United Nations since 1985.
We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers, past and present, for their remarkable contributions to the social development sector in India. We have had the privilege of working with close to 10,000 of them over the past 13 years of our organization’s history, and with each passing year, we continue to witness the transformation that volunteering brings to a person.
This year, we invite everyone to celebrate the spirit of volunteering through our International Volunteer Day Campaign. JOIN US!
