Here I go, finally posting the article I was asked to write about 2 months ago… Well, what would better subscribe my time spent in India then such a delay. 2 months lasting delay can mean only one thing – not having enough time because of being so occupied by discovering amazingly interesting Indian culture… or second – not having internet connection. Or both as in my case.  

My experience in India was really great and intense, even if it was for Just one month and a half. During my project I taught in a governmental school in Mysore. I couldn’t imagined, before coming to India, to experience so many good feelings in such a short period of time. The kids were really cute. It’s a NGO based in Arni in Southern India, which was found 20 years ago by the former priest S.S. Muthu.SXEDS supports the socially deprived and empowers them to live a self-reliant life with dignity. The volunteering experience as provided an excellent platform for intercultural learning to us. First of all, there is our work at the Community Seva Center, which offers the opportunity to get to know the way an NGO in India is working to us. The Community Seva Center tries to offer self-help to the „poorest of the poorest“ in the Kalvaryan Hills, a remote tribal area in the outskirts of Tamil Nadu, and in the villages around Pondicherry.
