Training on terrace gardening

On Monday October 19th, our training center staff attended a training conveyed by Mr. Doreswamy on terrace gardening.  We learnt how important this type of cultivation and it does not requires large land. It might be a new trend but it is very helpful for people to grow their own vegetables, fruits and flowers in an organic and sustainable way.

The cultural visit held on 18th September with an Italy volunteer who came in March and working with us for the past 6 month.  One of the program in FSL called cultural visit where we take our regular volunteer to any cultural and historical places which is located in or around Chennai. LTV-Orientation in Kundapur, August It is a festival season in our Youth Training Center in Kundapur for a week. FSL India has hosted 72 Long Term Volunteers from 4 different countries (Germany, France, Italy and USA) This was the entry for 2 sponsored volunteering programs called BMZ and IJFD, which includes 63 German young volunteers.

Mr. David Ebert from Germany has worked with the SRISTI Foundation as a volunteer for 11 months from 9th September 2014 to 17th July 2015. During his time here, David helped us with his skills to assist in our Special School activities to train and teach the children with intellectual disabilities.
