June 5th was World Environment day and it was celebrated all over the world, like it has been done for more than forty years now, with many different activities, talks and projects by many experts and people concerned about the environment alike. Staff from FSL went this year to Green Valley School in Shiroor to give a talk to some of the students on environment and what they can do to improve the earth’s condition and help save our planet.
On 5th June, I visited to one of the farmer agricultura land to get exposure on organic farming along with HBP volunteers, HBP staff and work camp staff, from FSL.

On Tuesday 12th May 2015 members of FSL-India visited the tent school in Yedthadi to talk with tent school children parents about health & hygiene. Terra Marine Research Institute,Karnataka in collaboration with FSL-India conducted a coastal survey in the month of May 2015 to interview and collect data from fishermen communities on the conservation status of sea turtles along the Udupi district coast.
The HBP team of FSL-India conducted Summer camp in Anjuman Higher primary school Kundapur from 26th to 10th April-15 for 10 days, A total of 38 children were participated in this Summer camp. The camp was organized various recreational activities for children. The camp dealt with important environmental issues to implement this basic knowledge, we assisted the children with performing several activities such as waste segregation, climate change, Paper and plastic recycling, art of waste, Origami,Group bounding games, drawing Competition.
The HBP team of FSL-India conducted Summer camp in Heskatturu and Yedthadi from 13th to 30th April-15 , the total of 46 children were participated in this Summer camp. The Kundapur workcamp held from 13th to 22nd April at Kundapur training center on sustainable agriculture theme. 1 volunteer from Belgium was participated.
