UNESCO-WHV camp in Hampi
A total 8 volunteers with 3 Indian volunteers in Hampi cleaned the surrounding areas Veerabadhra temple. The volunteers also took part teaching activities in the government primary school,they taught the importance nature conservation and sustainable development to the children with the help of 2 teachers.
The children pledged that they work for heritage conservation and con severing heritage monuments. Importantly volunteers’ work has been widely appreciated by the School head master. The camp also got wide media coverage.
Awareness: With a view to create awareness on the importance of the heritage site, volunteers did the painting in local government school. Volunteers did a street play in front of Veerabadra temple on conserving heritage monuments to the public, almost 60 people benefited through this street play.
Inter-culture Learning: Volunteers visited the temples in and around Hampi temples, waterfalls and Sunset view point.
