Theme: Yoga/Ayurveda/Culture

Place: Kerala, South India

Camp Activities: One international volunteer from Holland participated and dedicated himself wholly to the special children by responsibly undertaking the task of teaching, playing with them and making them feel loved and cared. In the evenings, the volunteer participate in Yoga classes and the Ayurveda Classes.

Intercultural Learning: As part of intercultural learning the Team leaders took the volunteer to visit Muthappan temple, snake park. He was lucky to have witness the famous ‘Theyyam’ dance performed by local artists, and to try out the Toddy or kallu (Natural palm or coconut trees alcoholic juice). To dive deeper into Indian culture He taken to visit local family to gain a broader perspective.
