4th year of successful hosting of international volunteers – Rahul, Project Head, Shri Gurumahanteshwara – Sustainable Agriculture Project

We are running into our 4th year of successful hosting of international volunteers. The relationship between FSL India, our project coordinators and international volunteers has improved over innovations, mutual respect and shared responsibilities. The beauty of our project is the diversity in experiences.

After consultation, thorough inspection and careful consideration, FSL India agreed to let volunteers to stay on the project.

We made sure to grab this opportunity and brought out the best in our volunteers. We are very happy and proud to host the following French volunteers in the year 2019-2020.

  • Inna Bargain-Pouy
  • Lucas Rivéra
  • Pauline Beaugendre

They were exposed to more diversified activities and volunteering opportunities:

1) Cultural exchange and skill development of village school kids

2) Learning and implementation of many best practices of natural farming methods

3) Sharing responsibilities on the progress of a project like keeping the accounts, social media management, hospitality and marketing

4) Learning yoga and meditation

5) Active participation in rural festivals and school functions

6) Visiting shops, hotels and other sites in our village supporting rural economy

7) Creating awareness on sustainable life and conservation of environment through various upcycling projects.

The hard work, commitment, dedication, flexibility and affection shown towards our project and community by FSL India’s volunteers is commendable. All the questions, issues, confusions and misunderstandings are clarified and cleared through constant communication and meetings. Thank you, FSL India for your volunteers’ contributions towards our project.
