Tent school children excursion to Kamalshile temple

On 24th April -15, FSL-India’s tent school team organized an excursion for Yedthadi and Heskatturu tent school children to Kamalashile temple and visit to the cave. Kamalashile temple which is located 35 km away from Kundapur, Udupi district. In this trip 32 children, 4 volunteers, 2 teachers and 1 coordinator were participated. Get together for the month of April was organized in Uppinakudru village where the volunteers participated in annual Maari festival at a local Bobbarya Temple. Uppinakudru is located at a distance of 6 Km towards north from Kundapur in Udupi district. Uppinakudru literally means ‘Island of Salt’. Final Program at HMM

On the 26th, March 2015 the final presentation held in HMM school made sure that the Master Class finished. In the presence of staff of the HMM school, the students made sure we will never forget our eight successful weeks of work. The whole ceremony was organised by the students and during their talks we remembered special moments like the ball game, dancing, drama, light bulb running and many more.

During March and April 2015 the Environmental Education project conducted prize distribution program for the drawing competition in Neralkatte, Mavinkatte, Anjuman school Kundapur, Bearys school Kodi and Soans Government Higher Primary School Kodi were totally 172 children participated. Theme of the competition about “Environmental issues” were the participants are encouraged to visualize their environment as well as current negative influences upon it.
