“Dream Village” – A village being dreamt of through the CSR knot of FSL India & Hyundai India… It is a village Mevalurkuppam,\u00a0 Sriperumbudur block in Kancheepuram District. What is the special about the village! Bringing up the Dream village into reality starts up on January – June 2015. The basic objective of village to be\u00a0 Dream village is bring out the holistic development and reaching the sustainability in the development at all aspects – improving Green coverage, Clean environment, empowering women socially and economically, imparting social development skills, improving the \u00a0etc..\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

In this aspect, the environmental activities such as Tree Plantation (Green coverage) with tree guard, fruit tree plantation, Kitchen garden promotion etc are undertaken; motivating cattle rearing – imparting the skills of cattle rearing by donating the goats for selected beneficiary and they will pass on the sibling goat to the other household and “passing on like a gift”; Among the women empowerment, Skill training for entrepreneurship imparting to the women SHG such as Tailoring, Computer training, pickle making, papat making, candle making…<\/p>\n

On the top of it, the Indian bank have seen all the initiatives and have given the loans to few groups – they are into starting small scale business of Pickle Making; imparting information on menstrual hygiene to women, adolescent girls etc; Forming new groups among adolescent and women, physically challenged etc.<\/p>\n

And also in the educational arena, forming children parliament to make the children responsible citizen and imparting them hygienic practices through several session by different modes; forming and promoting sports clubs. At the Sanitation level, building up the toilets to the household not having toilets; imparting the toilet beneficiaries the importance of toilet and how to maintain it clean, how to use the waste water etc; are undertaken… The initiation of making the village – a Dream Village has been undertaken and the process is going on to make a Dream Village – a REALITY.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
