It was organised by the Sindhi College Students who are doing their Internship in FSL India Chennai Facility. The LTV volunteer Ms. Hannah with the assistance of Staff of Chennai Facility facilitated the session.\u00a0 There were 170 girls participated in the \u00a0program.\u00a0 The program generally focussed on general information about Menstruation, personal hygiene guidelines during Menstruation, some cultural myths related to the Menstruation, effects of Menstruation both physically and psychologically etc.\u00a0 The myths such as &#8220;girls should not touch food or enter the kitchen during their menses&#8221;, &#8220;girls should not touch plants during their menstruation otherwise they should not grow&#8221; initiated lots of debates among the girls. The myths surprised the volunteer a lot as she never heard about these before.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_20141217_100348-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-8399\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG-20150103-WA0014-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG-20150103-WA0014\" width=\"203\" height=\"152\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-8397\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG-20150103-WA0012-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG-20150103-WA0012\" width=\"203\" height=\"152\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After the session, the students had an interaction with the volunteer &#8211; asking her experience in India, cultural differences etc&#8230; they questioned on German&#8217;s beliefs,\u00a0 culture , scope of social work in Germany etc. The volunteer completely enjoyed the lunch with the students&#8230; she was asked to try their lunch boxes, taking picture with her etc.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-8398\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG-20150103-WA0013-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG-20150103-WA0013\" width=\"208\" height=\"156\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-8396\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_20141217_101235-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20141217_101235\" width=\"207\" height=\"155\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-8395\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/IMG_20141217_100348-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20141217_100348 (1)\" width=\"209\" height=\"157\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The greatest success of the program is that the program was the eye opener to Menstrual Hygiene. It paved the platform for the girls to talk about Menstruation and clarified doubts related to that.
