This month saw three international LTVs from France who will go on to work as a teacher, in water and sanitation, and at a rehabilitation project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 12px;line-height: 18px;text-align: center\" href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/2014\/05\/ltv-orientation-in-may\/welcome\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7318\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7318 aligncenter\" alt=\"welcome\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/welcome-300x186.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"186\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Facilitating the orientation session was a team of ten <strong>FSL-India<\/strong> staff who carried out activities and sessions on expectations and fears, Indian pedagogy, language classes, roles and responsibilities, Hindu philosophy, safety and health, and much more.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">Volunteers also had a chance to visit <strong>Sparsha Trust<\/strong>, a local partner, to have a better understanding of local projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 As for intercultural learning, volunteers not only got to interact, talk and get to know staff members, but also went to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">watch a <em><strong>Bharatnatyam<\/strong> <\/em>dance performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7319 aligncenter\" alt=\"introduction\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/introduction-300x188.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0As stated by one volunteer, <em>&#8220;This week is definitely helpful and necessary to prepare an inexperienced public.
