Its theme was <strong>Education\/Environment\/Renovation\/Children<\/strong>. Attending this WC were <strong>seven international volunteers, one national volunteer and two WC team leaders.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"> <a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/2014\/04\/sea-turtle-conservation-and-environment-workcamp-in-kundapura\/sony-dsc-9\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7260\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7260 aligncenter\" alt=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/DSC09708-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Volunteers worked at a government school and constructed hand washing sinks, painted two classrooms and taught students basic English, Maths, sports and environmental issues such as pollution and conservation. Over a <strong>100 children\u00a0benefited<\/strong>\u00a0from the activities of this WC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/2014\/04\/sea-turtle-conservation-and-environment-workcamp-in-kundapura\/sony-dsc-8\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7259\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7259\" alt=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/DSC09637-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Volunteers also had the chance to spend time with an Indian family to understand the <strong>culture, beliefs and values.<\/strong> They took part in a south Indian cooking session and visited local attractions.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A second workcamp (WC) took place in Kundapura, Karnataka in the month of February.
