As there were only 2 volunteers, the Orientation week was held from 3<sup>rd<\/sup> to the 5<sup>th<\/sup> of June.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The volunteers were picked up from the Meeting point by a staff of FSL India and the day started with the traditional Indian welcome with Vermillion <i>Tilak, Arati<\/i> with lighted lamps, and Garlanding with Jasmine flowers.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The sessions conducted during the Orientation were : Kannada language, introduction about FSL-India, project introduction and reporting, Indian life style,\u00a0 project introduction, concept of volunteerism, roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders of LTV program, setting up aims and objectives conflict management. The Highlights of this orientation was \u2013 The Temple visit, shopping at a local market and during the project visit at Koni School, Kundapur the volunteers participated in the World Environment Day Program held at the school.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><b><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/June-Orientation-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6560 alignleft\" alt=\"June Orientation 2\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/June-Orientation-2-300x176.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"176\" \/><\/a>Bangalore : <\/b>From 3<sup>rd<\/sup> to 7<sup>th<\/sup> of June, 11 International volunteers \u2013 El Melhem Jessica, Sidibe Mamadou, Nicholas Na\u00efnemoutou and Brendon Novel from SVI, Belgium, Quentin Vajou, Lucas BUFFARD, FOURNIER Quentin and Gwendoline Beurel from JR, France, Francesca Pollastro from YAP-Italy, Montse Feliu from Ninarwa, Spain, <b><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The sessions of this orientation were the usual\u2019s &#8211; Introduction about FSL India, project introduction and reporting, project visit, voluntarism and roles &amp; responsibilities of all the stakeholders of LTV program, Kannada and Tamil<b> <\/b>Language, setting up aims, conflict management, Indian Pedagogy and different indicators of culture. The highlights of this Orientation were \u2013 drawing Mehendi on palms and feet, visit to the bull temple, Indian cinema, country presentation through song, dance and amazing facts about their countries by the volunteers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Orientation that lasts for a week came to an end on 7<sup>th<\/sup> of June, with feedback and experience sharing by the volunteers.
