{"id":6484,"date":"2013-09-12T14:59:44","date_gmt":"2013-09-12T09:29:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/?p=6484"},"modified":"2013-09-12T14:59:44","modified_gmt":"2013-09-12T09:29:44","slug":"ltv-get-together-march-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/ltv-get-together-march-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"LTV Get Together \u2013 March 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/LTV-March-GTG-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-6500\" alt=\"LTV March GTG 1\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/LTV-March-GTG-1-300x203.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a><b>Kundapur : <\/b>With a total of 19 Participants and 6 Staffs of FSL India from the regional office in Kundapur, the Get Together (GTG) in March started with a bang on 14<sup>th<\/sup> of March in Honavar, North Canara at Go Green Home stay accommodation.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">With activities like &#8211; Experience sharing, Games, Organic farm visit, Visit to hand gloves factory, visiting the beach,\u00a0\u00a0 One to One\u00a0\u00a0 talk\u00a0\u00a0 with coordinators, this GTG was filled with fun and learnings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Surrounded by majestic trees and backwaters, the \u201cGo Green Home Stay\u201d, with Typical Malnad food with varieties of sweets and savories, was a perfect location for the GTG.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The participants in the evening visited \u201cHaldipur Beach\u201d, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and the stunning naturally designed rocks. Next day on the 15<sup>th<\/sup> of March, they visited a Bio gas, Vermi Compost unit and a Organic farm. The owner of these farms, explained how Bio gas is manufactured and the procedures of running the Vermi compost. In the Organic farm, he showed the different types of Trees, herbs, plants, spices and plants of medicinal and aesthetic importance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Thereafter, the volunteers shared their experiences about their project and life in general in India. Participated in different motivational and fun games. The GTG came to an end with the Volunteers and Coordinators feedback about the overall program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><b><a href=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/LTV-GTG-March2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6501 alignright\" alt=\"LTV GTG March2\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/LTV-GTG-March2-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>Bangalore : <\/b>Sand, Beach, Get away, Fun, Relaxation with these thoughts in mind, the Get Together (GTG) in the month of March was held at the Royal Beach Resort in Mahabalipuram, for the volunteers of Bangalore region<b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Conducted on the 14<sup>th<\/sup> and 15<sup>t<\/sup><sup>h<\/sup> of March, a total of 12 international volunteers and 4 FSL India Staffs participated in a lot of activities on Inter-cultural learning, experience sharing and motivational games during the GTG.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A Guest Talk on Gypsy People was also conducted during the GTG. Miss Rajani from Kalaiselvi Karunalaya Social Welfare Society (KKSS), conducted an interactive session about the Gypsy people and their lifestyle. She spoke about the life of gypsy community, their creativity in making handicrafts, KKSS intervention in uplifting the life of these people and so on.
