We are Lea and Insa from Germany. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-5504\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/12-300x198.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"158\" \/>By now we are in India since two\u00a0months and we do a one year volunteer service at the <em>Seon Ashram Trust<\/em>.\u00a0It is located in the small village Gandibagilu which is in the south\u00a0of the state Karnataka. We\u00a0are doing social work with physically and mentally challenged children\u00a0people as well as people who have psychological disorder. Every person who lives at the Ashram has his or her own story and fate: Old people, widows, victimsof rape, differently abled people and orphans. The <em>Seon Ashram Trust <\/em>provides accommodation, food, medical care and free time activities.<!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-5508\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/2-300x224.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"158\" \/> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During the time we have stayed here we already got familiar with the daily life in the\u00a0Ashram and we have found a structured routine for our work that we created independently.Many\u00a0volunteers have stayed in our project before\u00a0we arrived, especially Germans. Fortunately we had\u00a0the chance to meet some of them before our departure. We benefit from their experiences.The conversations helped us having a good\u00a0start and getting used to the work and the circumstances.Furthermore, we were supported by the detailed and useful preparation given by our German organization <em>Youth Action for Peace &#8211; Christlicher Friedensdienst e.V. <\/em>and our Indian organization <em>FSL-India<\/em>. Even though the work is exhausting we enjoy every day working with the people in the <em>Seon Ashram Trust<\/em>. There are many possibilities for volunteers to contribute their own ability and skills.
