My first week in Berlin has been an incredible mix of excitement, independence, and new learning experiences. For the first time, I found myself completely alone, responsible for taking care of myself in a foreign city. From cooking my own meals to exploring the vibrant streets of Berlin, every day has been a learning curve. I even tried out some local dishes (with the help of pepper), pushing myself out of my comfort zone to embrace the rich culinary culture here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminars I’ve attended have been insightful, offering a deep dive into the rules and regulations that govern daily life in Germany. The activities during these sessions helped me feel at ease, especially with people from Latin America, Africa, and Asia, who brought their own unique cultures to the table. It\u2019s been fascinating to learn about different countries, and I feel like I\u2019ve gained a broader perspective on the world.<\/p>\n\n\n

Another highlight has been learning the German language. Even though I’m still at the beginner level, I\u2019ve been trying to use basic phrases in my daily life. It’s a fun challenge, and every interaction feels like a small victory when I successfully communicate in German.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accommodation provided for us is wonderful. It feels incredibly safe and has introduced me to new routines\u2014like separating waste into different bins, learning how to use a dishwasher, and other things that are part of the local way of life. It’s these little details that are helping me feel more settled in this new environment.<\/p>\n\n\n

One of the most exciting things I\u2019m looking forward to is starting work in a “kita” (kindergarten) in the upcoming weeks. I can’t wait to immerse myself in this new role, and I\u2019m eager to see what I\u2019ll learn from working with children in such a different cultural setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, this week has been a whirlwind of learning, independence, and growth, and I can\u2019t wait to see what the coming weeks in Berlin have in store for me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
