The FSL India\nHBP team, along with a group of work camp volunteers, worked together and\norganised a cleanup and awareness rally in Mavinakatte village. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 3rd<\/sup>\nMarch 2020, in the morning, a group of children from 4th<\/sup>-7th<\/sup>\nStandards from Government Middle Primary School, Mavinakatte gathered and\ntalked about the climate change and global warming that is happening in the\nglobe at the moment. After the discussion, they came as a group, joined with\nthe FSL India volunteers and collected the garbage around the school and\nstreets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, we\nseparated the waste with the help of the schoolchildren, and that waste was handed\nover to the Solid Liquid Resource Management Centre. The schoolchildren and\nvolunteers very enthusiastically took part in this activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the\nclean up, the children held up placards and shouted slogans to \u2018Save Nature\u2019.  The group of children went through the streets\nalong with the volunteers and school teachers, to create awareness about waste\nmanagement among the public in Mavinakatte Circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The children made a circle among themselves\nand they performed a skit about Nature and also sang songs about Nature. It was\nthe story of village life, how the rich people and bad political system are\nmisusing the people and resources in the villages, how they are cheating the\ninnocent people, how Nature is getting polluted, and how it is pulling down the\nvillage people to the worst living situation possible!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nawareness skit made the people to think about the conservation of nature and motivated\nthem to act in support of environmental causes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, the\nschoolchildren created a meaningful awareness event day for the village people.\nThe children\u2019s performance was appreciated by the public and the volunteers\nalso enjoyed the day by contributing through their service to the conservation\nof Nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
