I have been working in the Tent School Project. It has\ngiven me quite a few challenges that I had to face, but even more joyful\nmoments and great experiences I can take with me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"578\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC_0050_5-1024x578.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18913\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/20191120_114523-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18910\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For me,\nespecially the first weeks were the most difficult, because I had never taught\nchildren before, and didn\u2019t really have a clue how to manage it, and secondly, I\nhad to get used to the circumstances we had to face in the tent community. Such\nas, the small space, the often high noise level, the varying ages in-between\nthe group of children we had to keep attracted at the same time, as well as the\nteaching methods that had already been established in the Tent School. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/received_657358021337659-512x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18915\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But with the\ntime passing on, I was getting to know the workflow and the children better,\nand the children got to know me, and we all got used to each other. Sharavathi,\nthe Tent School teacher, and me also adjusted to each other and over time, we\nbecame a pretty good team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"578\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC_0027_5-578x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18912\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, I really\nenjoy going to school every day, and teaching and interacting with the children.Though\nthe progress is slow, it is still there, and Sharavathi and I are starting to\nsee improvement in the children\u2019s writing, reading and calculating skills,\nwhich is the best reward we could get for our work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/fsl-india.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC_0559-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18914\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since almost 6 months, I can\u2019t imagine!
